Postdoctoral Researcher, Ludwig Cancer Research Lausanne/Unil
Paris is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Ludwig Cancer Research Centre working in the field of Immuno-oncology and in particular methods to enhance anti-cancer gene therapies. Paris obtained his PhD from King’s College London where he developed and patented a novel chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell immunotherapy approach to specifically direct T-cells to destroy cancer cells.
He is working in the field of CAR T-cell immunotherapy since 2014 when he first joined the CAR T-cell team at the University College London Cancer Institute as part of his MSc at UCL. Since then he has been involved in various academia and industry CAR projects and he is fascinated to see the potential of these living immunotherapies to be used to efficiently treat cancer patients.
Prior to joining Innovation Forum Lausanne, Paris was a member at Innovation Forum London for several years. Paris aspires to contribute towards the expansion of the Innovation Forum across the world and he believes that building solid bridges between academia, industry and policymakers through Innovation Forum will be vital in accelerating the application of many innovative ideas to advance human health.
